France says orders Microsoft to stop collecting excessive data by users

The Chair of the National Data Protection Commission (CNIL) said Microsoft had three months to comply with French law and "to stop collecting excessive data and tracking browsing by users without their consent," it said in a statement.

India's Kerala imposes 'fat tax' on junk food

"There has been an alarming trend in growth of unhealthy eating habits among Keralites and we hope the fat tax will be a deterrent," Rajan N Khobragade, the state's commissioner of commercial taxes, told The Times of India newspaper.
